National History Museum

The National History Museum in Arusha, open since 1987.This museum inside the old German boma (a fortified living compound), completed in 1900, It has three parts. The best is the wing dedicated to the evolution of humans, since much of what we know about the topic came from fossils unearthed in Tanzania. There are also displays on insects, the history of Arusha during the German colonial era, and many wildlife photos and mounts.In the third building there are more animal pictures and a few more facts about the origin of man.The main objectives of the National Natural History Museum are to provide facilities for natural science research, storage, and exhibition.
