The village museum was established in 1996 with the aim of preserving and demonstrating Tanzania cultures of different tribes found in Tanzania. It comprises of more than 16 huts of different ethnic groups where people get to know different traditional tools and crafts which were used by the old man. The attractions found there includes huts of different tribes, traditional cultivation, traditional music and dance shows, traditional foods and shops in which different handcrafts and souvenirs are sold.
visiting this open air museum is like visiting the whole of Tanzanian ethnic groups through the display of different huts showing the real life experience of varieties of ethnic groups.
