Marangu falls kinukamori

kinukamori waterfalls is found in Chagga land, one if the most biggest ethnic tribe in Tanzania. The word Kinukamori has originated from a story of a young woman who found her self pregnant outside the wedlock which is against Chagga culture and decided to kill herself by jumping from the top of the falls but she suddenly changed her mind before jumping and decided to leave the place. When she was approaching to leave, a leopard grabbed her from behind and pushed her down the falls where she finally died.

Kinukamori waterfalls its a very nice place to visit, where a guest will be provided with an opportunity of knowing the history of chagga people, their culture, norms and taboos. It is also a place for leisure purposes where different activities can be undertaken, like swimming into the water in which its source comes directly from the glacier on top of Kilimanjaro mountain, picturing and seeing the beautiful view of marangu region can also be done at Kinukamori waterfalls.
