Bongoyo Island

Bongoyo Island is one among the most visited Islands in Dar es salaam which has different attractive features that motivate many guests to come within the Island who are both tourists and the indigenous. Most of them visit the Island for the aim of sunbathing and snorkeling where there is a conducive environment supporting the two activities. The Island has two beaches, one of it is found on the northwestern of the Island where there is availability of food, drinks and huts for the guests and the other beach is located on the northeastern parts of the Island where people do not advised to visit because there is no facilities and the place is mostly deserted. The Island also have a thick forest where few people like to venture and discover other features found within the Island.
