Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park is located on the island of Zanzibar. It is the only national park in Zanzibar. The Jozani Forest, located in the center of the park is a prime location to encounter many indigenous varieties of flora and fauna. The forest is home to a number of endemic species, including the Zanzibar red colobus monkey (a very rare monkey species unique to Zanzibar) as well as the Ader’s duiker, Sykes monkey, bush babies, African civet, giant elephant shrews, and chameleons, as well as over 83 species of birds.
